orqain, the family-owned independent Swiss watchmaker, is pleased to announce the Wild ONE Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition, a special timepiece created in collaboration with the three-time tennis Grand Slam Champion and Norqain business partner and ambassador Stan Wawrinka. Since joining the Norqain family in 2024, Stan has been an enthusiastic and engaged supporter of the brand, bringing his competitive spirit and personal style to the partnership.
Known for his relentless drive, precision under pressure, and powerful one-handed backhand, Stan has inspired a generation of athletes and watch lovers alike. This exclusive model reflects the essence of Stan’s remarkable career and character. Limited to just 85 pieces in honor of Stan’s birth year, 1985, the watch is based on Norqain’s high-performance Wild ONE Skeleton and showcases numerous personal details that celebrate the Swiss tennis star’s remarkable achievements.
The case construction incorporates a yellow-green rubber shock absorber, inspired by the color of a tennis ball, enclosed between top and bottom NORTEQ® components, Norqain’s proprietary ultra-light, ultra-robust carbon fibre material.
The watch is paired with an exclusive black and yellow-green rubber strap featuring a “tennis net” inspired pattern, a dynamic tribute to Stan’s legacy. The sapphire case back is printed with an image of Stan, along with the dates of his three Grand Slam victories: the 2014 Australian Open, the 2015 French Open, and the 2016 US Open, adding a commemorative and emotional dimension.
For the first time, the Norqain plate on the left side of the case is infused with tennis ball fibres, developed in collaboration with BIWI. Its vivid yellow-green “Norqain” engraving gives the piece a fresh and energetic edge, a symbol of our commitment to innovation and performance. Beneath the skeletonised black dial with yellow-green accents beats the Norqain Caliber NB08S, a skeletonised, chronometer-certified automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve.
Each watch will be presented in a bespoke spherical watch box in polished chrome alongside a tennis ball individually signed by Stan himself, a visual of Stan wearing the watch, and a commemorative plate recording the dates of those three glorious Slams.
“Stan is a tennis legend, and it has brought us great joy to create a watch in his name,” said Ben Küffer, Norqain Founder and CEO. “He’s also a close friend and we love working with him. Collaborating on this watch was so much fun, and the result is a special design that we’re excited to introduce to Stan’s many fans. Huge thanks to him for his continued partnership in the Norqain story and his enthusiasm for growing the company.”
Stan said: “I never imagined someone would make such a cool, high-tech watch in my name. It’s an immense honour. What makes this timepiece so special to me is the fact that it contains actual tennis ball fibres, a detail that’s not only deeply personal but also incredibly innovative. And thanks to the impressive shock resistance of the Wild ONE models, it’s a watch professional tennis players can actually wear on the court—not only stylish, but also lightweight and practical". Thanks to Ben and the team for inviting me to collaborate on the project and for making our vision a reality.”
The Wild ONE Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition will be priced at CHF 5’950 with a pin buckle, or CHF 6’300 with a folding clasp.
