rom this point on, every Studio Underd0g watch is assembled fully in-house, by the brand’s own team, in Great Britain. On paper, the change is subtle. But it allows for greater collaboration, an increasingly open relationship with customers, and reflects a long-term commitment to contemporary British watchmaking.
Since the earliest days of the brand, Studio Underd0g’s watches have been assembled and tested in Great Britain by a small independent workshop that grew alongside the business as volumes increased year on year.
As production passed 14,000 watches a year, assembly began to shape how the brand thought about its next stage of growth. In December 2025, that workshop was acquired by Studio Underd0g and has since been renamed Underd0g Manufacture.
The result is simple. Assembly is no longer something Studio Underd0g depends on externally. It is a capability the brand now owns.
Studio Underd0g is committed to the growth of British watchmaking. Over the past six months, supported by an initial investment made in July 2024, the workshop now known as Underd0g Manufacture has trained several new team members with no prior experience. It takes longer this way, building skills from within rather than buying them in.
Each watch is assembled start to finish by a single pair of hands, rather than moving through an assembly line of multiple technicians. The initials of the person who assembled the watch appear on the paperwork that accompanies it.
Assembly is where small variations accumulate and the character of a watch takes form. It is not the finish line. It is the foundation.
In May, Studio Underd0g will open The D0ghouse, the physical home of Underd0g Manufacture, to visitors. Rather than a traditional showroom, it is a dynamic working environment where watches are assembled every day, and where guests can take part in The D0ghouse Assembly Experience. Ahead of the opening, the team will be at British Watchmakers’ Day on March 7th, where enthusiasts can register their interest in visiting The D0ghouse and taking part in the experience. On the day, guests can get a closer look at how the experience will work, including the opportunity to step behind the bench and get hands-on with parts of the assembly process alongside the Studio Underd0g team.
When The D0ghouse opens, visitors will be able to spend time with the team, see how watches are assembled from start to finish, and, for those who want to go further, assemble a Studio Underd0g watch themselves under guidance of our expert makers. Participants will be able to assemble watches from the Core Collection, which will also be available to view and purchase on site at The D0ghouse.
To mark the opening of The D0ghouse, Studio Underd0g will introduce the 01Series Guava, a new model available exclusively at The D0ghouse, either through the Assembly Experience or via the on-site showroom.
“Opening the doors to The D0ghouse feels like a really important moment for us. For years, the work that goes into assembling our watches has happened quietly, behind the scenes, by a small team who care deeply about doing things properly. Being able to invite people in, show them how their watches are made, and give the team the recognition they deserve is something I’m super excited about.” - Richard Benc, Founder
