The British government is sounding the alarm: an exceptionally rare example of a Breguet Four Minute Tourbillon watch, owned by King George III and sold at auction last year, is at risk of leaving the country “unless a UK buyer can be found to save the work for the nation”. A temporary export bar has been placed on this watch worth more than £2 million.
