The Automatique joins F.P.Journe's Classique collection

The Automatique has joined the current collection in a 40 mm or 42 mm case in platinum or 18K 6N gold, combining the elegance of pure lines with the performance of the Octa 1300.3 automatic calibre.

F

or the 20th anniversary of the Octa caliber in 2021, F.P. Journe presented the Automatique Limited Series with a rhodium-plated brass movement and a satin-finished dial in yellow gold. Not surprisingly, the Automatique has joined the current collection in a 40 mm or 42 mm case in platinum or 18K 6N gold, combining the elegance of pure lines with the performance of the Octa 1300.3 automatic calibre.

On the white gold or 5N gold dial, an instantaneous large date offers optimal legibility thanks to a 4.7 x 2.6 mm window. On the right, the hours, minutes and seconds are displayed on an off-center subdial in whitened Silver guilloche. The knurled crown, that has been enlarged to perfect the balance of the case, allows the automatic settings. These elements, along with the stretched teardrop-shaped blued steel hands and the polished steel circle screwed to the dial, are the iconic features that make F.P. Journe watches so unique.

The uncluttered design of an F.P. Journe timepiece always reflect the highest level of mechanical innovation. The Octa 1300.3 automatic calibre, manufactured in 18K rose Gold, proposes a chronometric precision of 120 hours and an exceptional power reserve of 160 hours.

The unidirectional winding of the exclusive off-center F.P. Journe rotor in 22K 5N gold is possible thanks to a self-locking ball bearing system. Thus, each slightest movement of the wrist is exploited to ensure an optimized winding of the watch. A large sapphire glass caseback emphasizes the subtlety of the finishings, as well as the gearing system visible through the openworked bridges.
