escend to the ocean’s darkest depths! Tutima Glashütte expands its successful M2 Seven Seas S line with the debut of a new watch for adventurers. The M2 Seven Seas S Black Limited Edition is deep black from strap to dial. Blackness not only describes the watch’s colour, but also symbolizes its operational capability. This wristwatch is a reliable partner, even for uncommonly deep dives, as it has been tested to an enormous pressure of 50 atm, which is equivalent to the water pressure 500 metres under the sea.

The unconditional robustness of a Tutima is anchored in the brand name, which is derived from the Latin word tutus, which means “safe, protected”. The protection begins with the colour. The deep black hue is applied using the PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process and forms a layer that is even harder than the underlying stainless steel case.

The rotatable bezel is equally resistant: made of ultra-hard and scratch-resistant ceramic, it serves as the functional frame for the 2.5-mm-thick sapphire crystal. Sapphire has a hardness of nine on the Mohs scale, so nothing but a diamond is harder. A screw-in back and a threaded crown, additionally protected against impacts by lateral flanks, make the all-round protection perfect.

The robust case provides optimal conditions for this timepiece’s fine mechanical heart. Tried-and-tested self-winding Tutima Calibre 330 is embellished with the Tutima gold seal, supports a date display at the “6 o’clock” position, and keeps time with outstanding precision in every situation. The dial is perfectly legible thanks to bright hands and indices that contrast boldly against the black dial and continue to glow in the dark for many hours thanks to their Super-LumiNova coating.

A compact 40-mm case, a bicomponent strap made of impregnated, water-resistant leather with a supple rubber interior and, last but not least, minimized contact surface thanks to integrated lugs combine to guarantee a secure and comfort- able fit on the wearer’s wrist.

The new M2 Seven Seas S Black Limited Edition is available in a strictly limited series of 250 timepieces.
