he Aqua Terra Shades collection takes Omega watchmaking in a vibrant new direction. With a bold array of dial shades available, this is a chance for everyone to express their style in colour. The collection follows the spectrum from ocean to earth, encompassing unique tones such as Atlantic Blue, Lagoon Green, and Terracotta – an assorted palette that uses nature as inspiration.

Two different sizes are available, with entirely polished stainless steel cases either in 38 mm or 34 mm, and all presented with a Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement. In addition, there are two 18K gold models that deliver an extra edge of luxury. Crafted in Omega’s long-lasting alloys, these timepieces accentuate the spirit of colour with their own golden hues.

Omega introduced the original Aqua Terra family in 2002. The bold range of timepieces was given a Latin name, honouring Omega’s rich ocean heritage and the spirit of the iconic Seamaster watches, which were known for their reliability both on water (Aqua) and on land (Terra).

The very first models delivered a “refreshing contrast” of style and innovation that could easily fit an active lifestyle. Blending city chic with ocean ingenuity may have been a challenge, but the collection has now endured for over 20 years, establishing itself as one of the most distinctive and popular timepiece choices.

Today, the Aqua Terra is known for its laid-back style, anti-magnetic legacy, and powers of precision. With the launch of the “Shades” models, the collection is ignited with colour, and as you’d expect, backed by the guarantee of Co-Axial Master Chronometer certification.

Within the Shades collection, the dials are crafted from brass and then sun-brushed outwards from the centre. Each one is also given a layer of lacquer for extra depth. But of course, the true magic is in the colours.

Thanks to the recent advancement of innovative technologies, Omega has been able to achieve unique hues that go beyond those of the past. PVD technology, known as Physical Vapor Deposition, achieves a particular effect that enables colours such as Terracotta, while CVD technology, known as Chemical Vapor Deposition, achieves certain chemical reactions, perfect for shades such as Sea Blue.

In the 34 mm range, the dials feature 18K white gold for the hands and the indexes, which are shaped like sailboat hulls. For the 38 mm models, Omega has graced the dials with traditional rhodium-plated hands and indexes. Keeping in line with the Aqua Terra DNA, each watch features a symmetrical case and crown in fully polished stainless steel, with a wave-edged design on the back.

Providing the power is Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800. The Master Chronometer certification means that each watch and its movement has passed the strict tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). This guarantees the highest standard of quality, precision, and magnetic resistance.

Around the wrist, the watches are presented on stainless steel bracelets. The redesign is based on smaller and elegantly rounded links, which deliver a fresh appearance within the Aqua Terra collection.

To promote the wide-ranging new line, Omega has created a dedicated campaign called “Every Shade of You”, celebrating the unique personality of each wearer. The theme is about expressing your individual look through your own choice of colour. Whether it’s the vibrancy of Shell Pink, or the laid-back cool of Sandstone, this collection in on hand to match your mood.

To bring this theme to life, brand ambassadors Zoë Kravitz, Zhou Dongyu and Eddie Redmayne will all appear in a series of bold visuals and film clips. Revealing all the sides of their character, they are dressed in black and surrounded by a multitude of colours – yet again highlighting the Aqua Terra’s vivid selection of dials.

The 38 mm choice has been created in 18K SednaTM Gold - Omega’s own red gold alloy, known for its warm tones and high resistance to fading. Along with a bezel paved in 46 diamonds totalling 1.77 ct, the sun-brushed and lacquered dial is CVD-treated and presented in a sandstone colour, featuring an applied circular date window in 18K SednaTM Gold, sailboat indexes, and grey-coloured transfers. Set on an 18K SednaTM Gold bracelet with a butterfly clasp, this watch is powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8801.

The 34 mm choice is made in 18K MoonshineTM Gold – Omega’s own yellow gold alloy, known for its pale tones and high resistance to fading. The sun-brushed and lacquered dial is CVD-treated and presented in lagoon green, featuring an applied circular date window in 18K MoonshineTM Gold, sailboat indexes, and silver-coloured transfers. Set on a shimmering leather strap in pine green, this watch is powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8801.
