Unimatic x Massena LAB Reveal Cosmic Rarity: Meteorite-Dial Titanium U4S-T-SPW

At Geneva Watch Days 2025, Unimatic and Massena LAB close their acclaimed NASA trilogy with a creation that is literally out of this world. The Modello Quattro U4S-T-SPW pairs Italian craftsmanship with a genuine meteorite dial - each fragment etched with unique Widmanstätten patterns formed over millions of years in the cold silence of space. Encased in titanium with a luminous white Cerakote finish, this 60-piece limited edition embodies the spirit of exploration, bridging cosmic history and contemporary horology in a way only Unimatic and Massena LAB could achieve.

U

nimatic, in collaboration with Massena LAB, proudly unveils the Modello Quattro ref. U4S-T-SPW, a special edition available exclusively at Geneva Watch Days 2025. Marking the final chapter in Unimatic and Massena LAB’s NASA Space Exploration trilogy, this limited edition draws inspiration from meteorite and introduces Unimatic’s first use of the material on a dial.

The Modello Quattro U4S-T-SPW is crafted in Italy from lightweight titanium with a special Cerakote H140 bright-white coating. The 40mm case houses a genuine meteorite dial, a material forged in the vacuum of space over millions of years. Each dial is cut from a fragment of an ancient iron-nickel meteorite that traveled through the solar system before falling to Earth, where it was recovered and meticulously prepared for horological use.

Its distinctive surface reveals the Widmanstätten pattern, an interlacing crystalline structure that forms only during the slow cooling of molten metal at a rate of just a few degrees per million years. These intricate lines, created light-years away from our planet, ensure that no two dials are ever alike. Each timepiece becomes a literal slice of cosmic history, carrying with it the story of its journey through time and space. Above the dial, the Super-LumiNova® BG W9 markers and NASA worm logo are printed directly onto the 2.8mm flat sapphire crystal, creating a floating effect that adds depth and visual intrigue, giving the dial a distinct space-inspired character.

The release of the U4S-T-SPW follows two preceding collaborations with Massena LAB launched to celebrate NASA’s Artemis missions, the U1-SPG “NASA Artemis” and UT4-SPT “NASA Artemis II” limited editions. NASA’s upcoming missions, marking a renaissance of space exploration, will mark the first crewed return to the Moon since the Apollo program ended in the early 1970s. Looking ahead, these missions aim for a more ambitious (and historic) goal: sending the first astronauts to Mars.

The U4S-T-SPW is built for professional performance with water resistance individually tested to 30 atm (300m / 1000ft). Its titanium case is paired with an 8mm screw-down crown and a caseback engraved with a detailed meteor comparison chart. Inside beats the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 b automatic movement, operating at 28,800 bph with a 38-hour power reserve, 26 jewels, hacking seconds, and accuracy within ±12 seconds per day.

Each watch is delivered on a white nylon keeper two-piece quick-release strap with a titanium Cerakote-coated buckle, along with a cool-gray TPU strap. Limited to just 60 individually numbered pieces, the U4S-T-SPW will be offered exclusively at Geneva Watch Days 2025 from 4th until 7th September for €2500 (VAT excluded).
