Christopher Ward introduces the C63 Sealander Extreme GMT – a rugged evolution of its bestselling travel watch, built for modern adventurers. hristopher Ward introduces the C63 Sealander Extreme GMT - a bold, adventure-focused evolution of the brand’s best-selling C63 Sealander GMT. Designed for the modern adventurer, it delivers enhanced day and night legibility thanks to innovative lume, a rugged case, and the brand’s new anti-shock system.

The Extreme GMT features a grained dial and enlarged Twin-flags logo, indices, and hands - all cast from Globolight® for increased lume coverage. A subtle matte-black coated handset and an applied chapter ring, chamfered towards the top of the indices, add depth and texture, while pigment within the Globolight® keeps the dial true to the outdoor adventure aesthetic.

“This isn’t a standard painted or filled application, but an advanced ceramic infused with lume - meaning every element is three-dimensional and luminous,” explains Jörg Bader, Product Director at Christopher Ward. “We pushed for larger shapes, subtle pigmentation, and a chamfer on each index. Our partner Xenoprint delivered spectacularly”, he continues. Each dial carries no fewer than 18 applied Globolight® elements, manufactured just 650 metres from Christopher Ward’s Atelier in Biel.

At the heart of the watch, the Sellita SW330-2 movement is secured within a specially formulated rubber compound holder, which works with the movement’s Incabloc system to absorb shocks whilst maintaining timing accuracy. A flexible ring links the mount to the outer case, allowing the movement and inner case to float independently for maximum protection. Just 4.1mm thick, the SW330-2 offers a power reserve of up to 56 hours with a central GMT hand that can be set independently of the hour and seconds hands, making it ideal for global travel.

At 41mm, the Extreme GMT is the largest Sealander GMT case yet. Fully brushed, including the bracelet, it combines tactical aesthetics with anti-reflective surfaces. The fixed ceramic bezel is lightweight, highly scratch-resistant, and features engraved numerals filled with lume. The screw-secured caseback is adorned with a deep-stamped three-dimensional globe, its dome lifting subtly above the surface – a refined nod to the watch’s travelling credentials. Lugs feature distinctive circular brushing and bold proportions, while the bezel is enlarged for rugged handling. A box sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating completes the design.

The Extreme GMT also debuts the new V-Strap - a highly durable, two-piece Cordura® strap featuring a 4mm taper, Twin-flags etched steel hardware and a secure Velcro® fastening. Available in black or orange, the strap comes in both standard and extra-large sizes.

“The Sealander Extreme GMT has been created for the action hero in all of us, whether imagined (me), or actual (Tom Cruise) - whatever extremes you encounter, this watch is built to cope”, says Mike France, CEO and co-founder of Christopher Ward.
