uxence and Clément Dorigo, two brothers and former members of the French national fencing team, combine their strengths and expertise to merge innovative design and technical mastery into a single project — creating a truly French watch.
Representing France on fencing strips across the globe instilled in them a deep conviction: to create a fully French-made timepiece. This founding value guides their entire process — from design to assembly — in collaboration with master watchmakers and exceptional artisans who bring each timepiece to life.
Like a fencing master perfecting each move and preserving tradition, the master watchmaker embodies the same quest for excellence. Absolute precision, flawless technique — every gesture counts when shaping, polishing, adjusting, and assembling the brand’s first creations.
In Besançon, the capital of French watchmaking, the two brothers met these extraordinary artisans to bring their vision to life. Each component is machined, cut, polished, or satin-finished by hand, then assembled and inspected by Maison Herbelin, custodian of a century-old savoir-faire.
The leather straps are crafted by Maison Sibra, where every hide is carefully selected, cut, tanned, and hand-stitched to achieve uncompromising quality.
Far more than just a timepiece, each Accierra watch is a testament to the excellence of contemporary French watchmaking — modern, precise, and proudly independent.
In a constantly changing world, where every second counts, Accierra embodies the very essence of time — fleeting yet precious — that we strive to capture. Accierra represents motion propelling us forward, the link between past and future, and the precision that guides us. Each Accierra timepiece is a reminder that time is valuable — it must be seized, lived, celebrated.
The name Accierra finds its roots in the idea of “seizing” (from the Italian accierrare, evoking the act of closing or capturing) and “accelerating,” symbolizing the energy and dynamism of the modern world. Accierra is far more than a watch. It is a manifesto for those who dare to seize their destiny, live at full speed, and remain timelessly elegant.
Its inspiration comes from high-level fencing — from its key material, steel, present in the weapons, the mask, and even the strip where duels unfold. The grooved design, found on the case, dial, and hands, echoes the fente, the primary attack in fencing, as well as the lines along the blade and the warning lines marking the starting point of each bout.
Atelier Dorigo collaborates with 15 French manufacturers of excellence, historic partners of the world’s most prestigious watchmaking houses. Based in the heart of the Doubs — the cradle of French horology — from Besançon to Morteau, through Frambouhans, Charquemont, Les Fins, and École-Valentin, these artisans carry forward centuries-old expertise and ensure that the brand’s watches meet the most demanding international quality standards.
The Poinçon de la Tête de Vipère, awarded by the Besançon Observatory, is the highest recognition in French watchmaking.
