Hautlence Linear Giacomo Agostini

Forged in the spirit of racing’s golden era, the Linear Giacomo Agostini captures the essence of the 15-time world champion through design, color, and mechanical audacity. Limited to just 28 pieces, this timepiece merges motorsport heritage and haute horlogerie, featuring a linear retrograde jumping hour, a flying tourbillon, and a high-octane palette of red, yellow, and silver — an ode to speed, precision, and the eternal pursuit of victory.

M

ore than a watch, the Linear Giacomo Agostini is a true racing machine on the wrist. This limited edition draws its essence from the very machines Agostini transformed into icons of two wheels, captured in the fiery red, bold yellow, and shimmering silver of his legendary victories. On the dial, the number 15 stands out with power: the number of Giacomo Agostini, a champion among champions, 15-time world title holder, the living embodiment of speed and audacity.

For the first time, a timepiece bears exclusively the name of Giacomo Agostini. More than just a rider, he played a decisive role in shaping the very machines he piloted. His fearless ability to push engines to their limits while providing precise technical feedback helped engineers refine and perfect their creations. This dialogue between man and machine resonates with Hautlence’s philosophy: innovation is born from testing boundaries, breaking conventions, and daring to think differently.

Time’s mechanics, conceived as a race against the clock, drive the Linear Giacomo Agostini, which multiplies references to the world of velocity. On the left of the dial, the graduated scale recalls the precision instruments of a dashboard. The linear hand, stretched like a throttle cable, leaps from hour to hour. Hautlence’s signature complication, the linear retrograde jumping hour, here takes on the spirit of a pit-lane stopwatch: sharp, efficient, spectacular.

At 6 o’clock, the flying tourbillon spins like a wheel at full speed, protected by its red skeletonised bridge. Behind this mechanical ballet beats the D50 calibre, conceived and assembled in-house, with a module developed by Agenhor: 239 components, 3 Hertz, 72 hours of power reserve. A true engine, designed for performance and endurance, whose oscillating weight engraved with the Möbius strip recalls the infinity of the circuit.

The steel case of the Linear Giacomo Agostini, water-resistant to 10 ATM, asserts its robustness like a racing chassis. Its sculpted flanks give it the aerodynamic profile of a streamlined bodywork. The notched crown, girded with rubber, echoes the red strap — now sparked with yellow and black accents — like a racing livery ready for the starting grid.

The multi-level dial combines tinted sapphire and vertical satin finishes, opening views onto the raw mechanics, like engine parts revealed beneath a transparent fairing. There, the minute cam is unveiled, integral with the minute hand, making one full rotation per hour and ligting the minute sector throughout. After 60 minutes, the sector falls back, driving the hour star.

The Linear Giacomo Agostini honours the spirit of the track and those who live every second like a sprint. Red, yellow, black, silver: a palette of speed and victory. Number 15: a tribute to a rider who made history. With this timepiece, Hautlence’s signs not only an instrument of time, but a symbol of mechanical passion, to be worn by those daring to push the limits.
