ebois & Co introduces two new additions to its Heritage Atelier collection: the Heritage Atelier Small Seconds Clous de Paris and the Heritage Atelier Small Seconds Stroopwafel^®.

Developed in collaboration with Swiss high-end dial specialist GT Cadrans, both watches explore how exceptional craftsmanship can transform texture into something entirely new. One draws inspiration from one of watchmaking’s most enduring decorative patterns. The other from one of the Netherlands’ most familiar cultural icons.

Together, they become the inaugural creations presented in The Atelier, the first room to open within La Maison Lebois. Some of you may remember that during development the brand referred to this project as Café Lebois. “As the concept evolved, it became clear that we were building something much broader than a single theme. Rather than introducing that larger vision all at once, we have chosen to open its first room.”

That room is The Atelier. A place where independent artisans, specialist workshops and exceptional craftsmanship come together to create watches with stories worth telling. The broader world of La Maison Lebois will unfold gradually, one room at a time.

For centuries, the Clous de Paris pattern has been one of watchmaking’s most recognisable decorative finishes. Built from countless miniature pyramids arranged with extraordinary precision, it has become synonymous with quiet elegance and refined craftsmanship.

For this interpretation, Lebois & Co worked together with GT Cadrans to develop a sophisticated multi-step dial construction. The intricate Clous de Paris pattern is created through a meticulous diamond-cutting process, allowing every facet to catch and reflect the light with remarkable subtlety. The dial is then finished in a warm rose-gold tone through a galvanic treatment using a 24k gold solution, adding a soft metallic warmth that shifts gently as the light changes.

Restrained, timeless and quietly expressive, it celebrates one of watchmaking’s most enduring decorative traditions through contemporary Swiss craftsmanship.

The second creation finds its inspiration much closer to home. The idea first emerged during a visit to the New York watch fairs in October 2024. A simple tin of Dutch stroopwafels, brought along to share with friends and retailers, sparked an unexpected question: could this familiar texture become an exceptional Swiss watch dial?

First baked in early nineteenth-century Gouda, the stroopwafel has become one of the Netherlands’ most recognisable traditions. Its distinctive woven surface inspired an idea that gradually evolved into the dial presented here.

Working together with GT Cadrans, Lebois & Co developed an intricate laser-engraved Stroopwafel^® texture. The dial is finished in a warm caramel tone through a galvanic treatment using a 24k gold solution, faithfully capturing the character of the Dutch delicacy while remaining unmistakably refined. As the light moves across its surface, the texture comes alive, while under magnification the engraved pattern reveals an extraordinary level of detail that closely echoes the structure of an actual stroopwafel.

Bringing together more than thirty specialised métiers, the atelier combines traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques to transform ambitious concepts into technically sophisticated watch dials.

For the Heritage Atelier Small Seconds collection, GT Cadrans translated two completely different ideas into dials that share the same philosophy: exceptional craftsmanship begins long before a watch reaches the wrist.

The Clous de Paris and Stroopwafel^® are the inaugural creations presented in The Atelier. The Atelier celebrates collaborations with exceptional artisans and specialist workshops whose expertise shapes each creation from the very beginning. Every project explores a different craft. Every collaboration tells a different story. It is the first room to open within La Maison Lebois, the evolving creative world of Lebois & Co.

Production is organised in carefully planned production runs, each determined by the artisanal craftsmanship and specialist capacity required to create these exceptional dials.
