ince 2020, Raquel Palmieri and Raphael Pfund - an entrepreneur and a watchmaker, wife and husband - have been working side by side, building a company in England that became one of the most significant watch assembly and service workshops in Britain, supporting 50 independent brands across the globe, and in their last year building more than 18,000 watches. The company was Horologium, and in December of last year they decided to take a step back, take a breath, and develop the next chapter in their journey together.

This path led them back home, to Switzerland, where they centered their attention on a project that had been in the works for a very long time, but never really found its moment, until now. Together, they believe craft lives in the details you may not notice at first glance. It lives in the subtleties that reveal themselves over time, in the details that stay with you. With Palmieri Pfund, the brand’s aim is to create watches that invite you to pause, observe, and feel.

The design of the Verzasca was inspired by the flow of a river, from the way the water moves, and how the polished stones settled along the riverbed reflect their environment. The collection is introduced with three variants of its glossy lacquer dial: Ruby, Lotus, and Stone. Each expresses its own character.

Ruby (Ref. 111): a distinct, deep red designed to carry warmth and intensity, the color reflects the brand’s passion for this craft and the determination behind it.

Lotus (Ref. 112): drawn from the gentle hue of the Lotus, a serene shade of pink that transforms into a powerful shimmer in the sunlight.

Stone (Ref. 113): a refined grey inspired by river stones, elegantly blending into the color of the polished case and bracelet.

The applied indices are intriguingly shaped. They raise and taper towards the center, which results in the polished facets going through a continuous change in their angle to each other. The hour and minute hands broaden towards the point, complementing the indices, while the minute hand transitions into a curve in parallel to the shape of the domed sapphire crystal. The stainless steel case is tactile and free of straight lines, shaped to feel naturally part of the wrist. A continuous radius follows through the case and crystal, giving the watch a smooth, organic feeling.

The fitted bracelet is crafted with 11 individually moving links across, offering exceptional comfort and adaptability.

Beating inside the Verzasca is the F200 from La Joux-Perret. A handwound movement decorated with Geneva stripes and mirror-polished screws. Its double-barrel layout delivers an impressive 90 hours of power reserve within a height of just 2.70 mm.
