Finding the bathroom at 3am need never be challenging again, thanks to a dial that glows as bright in the dark as it is vivid in the day. A generous application of X1 GL C3 Super-LumiNova means the daytime green gradient transforms into a single, uniform glow once the light fades.

This lume will get you out of trouble, but also into trouble, therefore must be worn with caution in light-sensitive environments like the cinema or on a special ops mission. The Mantis also benefits from 02Series Gen2 improvements like a slightly thinner case, now 11.5mm, and a longer power reserve of 63 hours.

What’s the most vivid green you can think of? For Studio Underd0g, it’s the radioactive shade of nature’s holiest insect, the praying mantis. And so became the gradient dial of the 02Series Mantis, a transition between light and dark green that’s so intense you can almost taste it.

The most extreme green you’ll see from the 02Series Mantis actually happens when the lights go off, thanks to a healthy coating, seven layers in fact, of X1 GL C3 Super-LumiNova. The green gradient becomes uniform at night for the brightest glow to ever emanate from a Studio Underd0g. Geiger counters have never been so confused. For optimal readability both night and day, a yellow colouration has been chosen to fill in the hands.

Delicate colour pairing is needed for a dial this bright, and it was to The Strap Tailor that Studio Underd0g turned once again for the ‘Herb’ washed suede strap choice. Its deep forest green is the perfect habitat for this carnivorous insect.

As part of the 02Series Gen2, the Mantis benefits from multiple improvements, like the redesigned dial layout, thinner case at 11.5mm and improved power reserve of 63 hours.
