efore creating his own vision of watchmaking, Antoine Preziuso learned to understand time through the masterpieces of the past. His reputation as a restorer would take him as far as the Kremlin, where he was called upon to work on its entire collection of historic clocks.
In 1980, Antiquorum entrusted him with the creation of its first workshop dedicated to the restoration and appraisal of collectors’ watches. There, exceptional historical timepieces passed through his hands, allowing him to explore centuries of watchmaking from within, their architecture, techniques and ingenious mechanical solutions.
In 1981, he opened his own antique horology workshop in Geneva, where collectors, prestigious Maisons and the Geneva Watchmaking Museum entrusted him with the restoration of rare timepieces. It was an exceptional recognition of the expertise he had acquired over the years, working with some of the most remarkable mechanisms in watchmaking history.
Since 1980, Antoine Preziuso has devoted himself to pushing the boundaries of mechanical watchmaking. Today, he chooses a different path: returning to the essentials and passing on a vision of watchmaking shaped by several decades of creation.
Heritage Horloger was born from this approach. Not as another demonstration of complexity, the kind Antoine has so often explored, but as the expression of Haute Horlogerie in which history, the artisan’s hand and mechanical beauty take centre stage.
At the origin of this creation is a piece especially close to Antoine: the Tourbillon Imperial. Crafted from a Swiss double-barrel tourbillon ébauche designed in 1928 at the École d’Horlogerie de la Vallée de Joux, this unique pocket watch became the starting point for Heritage Horloger. Antoine translates its aesthetics and the spirit of a bygone era into a resolutely contemporary wristwatch.
This lineage extends to the very heart of the watch. Its manually wound movement offers a generous 120-hour power reserve, thanks to two barrels mounted in parallel, ensuring a smooth and consistent delivery of energy. But it is above all in the architecture of its bridges that its true visual signature emerges. The balance bridge, the movement’s most distinctive aesthetic element, is its clearest expression. Here, Antoine draws inspiration from a watchmaker’s gear cutting machine a traditional watchmaker’s workshop instrument once used to work wheels and gear teeth with great precision. He reinterprets its silhouette as a protective shield surrounding the balance wheel. Its form deliberately evokes a tourbillon cage, carrying the echo of the Tourbillon Imperial into the movement itself, without reproducing its function.
The High-End finishes naturally follow the same pursuit. Drawing on the great tradition of pocket-watch movements and Antoine’s intimate knowledge of watch restoration, he favours a sober and rigorous aesthetic in which the care devoted to every detail reveals both mastery of the craft and the time invested in its execution.
This spirit continues on the dial, the true face of Heritage Horloger. Directly inspired by that of the Tourbillon Imperial and crafted entirely in 18-carat gold, each dial is individually hand-engraved. Beneath the artisan’s tool, the material gradually comes to life: the decoration gains depth and relief, while light continually reveals new nuances in the precious metal. Stuart-style hands complete this balance between classical heritage and contemporary expression.
Limited to just 40 pieces - 20 in yellow gold and 20 in platinum - Heritage Horloger thus marks a singular milestone in the journey of Antoine Preziuso: a watch that does not follow time, but travels through it.
