ravel changes how we experience time: the anticipation of departure, a new city on the horizon and a second time zone to keep in view. The name Cosmonaire brings together the cosmos and the traveller, reflecting the curiosity and sense of possibility behind the watch.

Its soft geometry and carefully judged proportions give the familiar GMT format a distinctly Direnzo character. Compact on the wrist, the Cosmonaire is designed for journeys across continents and for the everyday.

The rounded case has an aerodynamic silhouette that recalls the industrial design of the 1960s and 1970s. An elliptical bezel changes the watch’s appearance with the viewing angle and gives the case its flowing profile.

The result is sculptural yet wearable. Its character comes from the relationship between curves, surfaces and proportions.

Beneath a flat sapphire crystal, the subtly bowl-shaped dial draws the eye towards its centre. Applied hour markers add depth, while an engraved ring filled with Super-LumiNova® creates a luminous perimeter after dark.

At the centre, a laser-engraved panier pattern sits beneath glossy lacquer. Light moves across its geometric texture as the wrist turns, giving the dial a changing architectural quality.

The hands follow the same design language as the case and dial. Together with the GMT hand, they make local and reference time clear without disturbing the dial’s balance.

The Cosmonaire carries forward Direnzo’s retro-futuristic approach: the optimism with which an earlier era imagined the future, interpreted as a contemporary watch made to travel. Exploration can begin with a new destination, a different time zone and the decision to set out.
