At the 4th issue of the Dutch “Watch of the Year” gala in the exclusive Palace Hotel in Noordwijk, the Jaquet Droz model Grande Seconde Cerclée was awarded the prize for the best watch design of the year. Jan des Bouvries, one of the country's most important interior designers presented the prize. He applauded the watch's “Pure lines, perfect balance and the best example that less is more”.

“It's a great honour to us to get awarded with this prestigious prize, not least because of the importance and the many different backgrounds of this prize's jury” said Jaquet Droz managing director and designer Manuel Emch. The jury was composed of some of the country's leading names in design, watchmaking, performing arts and politics. The prize was organized by the magazine “Horloges”, Holland's most important consumer watch magazine.

This “Watch of the Year” election is the third in a row in only a few months for Jaquet-Droz. Recently, the brand was named “Watch of the Year” in Japan and in France.
