Vacheron Constantin's Internet site has been selected as an Official Honoree at the 2006 Webby Awards, an honour bestowed for the quality of its structure and ease of navigation, as well as its design and functionality.
Veritable ‘Web Oscars’ according to Time Magazine, the Webby Awards are presented by the New York-based International Academy of Digital Arts.
This year's awards, the tenth, had a record entry of 5,500 participants from over 40 countries, among them the World Bank, Mercedes-Benz, l'Oréal, Google, UNICEF, Sony and BBC News.
The winners were selected by a jury which comprised the musician David Bowie, Vinton Cerf, one of the Internet's founding fathers, the English chef, Jamie Oliver, the CEO of Body Shop, Anita Roddick, the fashion designer, Max Azria, and Matt Groening, who created the Simpsons.
