Chopard hosts luncheon to honor NYCB

February 2007

This year's luncheon was held in honor of NYCB principal dancer Kyra Nichols. Known for the purity of her dancing and her classicism, musicality and warmth, Nichols has become a favorite of audiences and critics alike.

At the luncheon, current and former NYCB dancers reminisced and performed excerpts from a selection of Nichols' most emblematic roles, all in salutation of an extraordinary 33-year career with the NYCB that will come to an end with her final performance this June.

Nichols and the benefit chairs, including Celeste Boele, Whitney Murphy, Susan Tabak and Katie Von Strasser, were all adorned in Chopard for the event. Select Chopard jewelry and timepieces were also showcased in a number of displays set around the room.

The event raised $450,000. Chopard will continue to show its support for the NYCB throughout February by donating 5 percent of the profits made from luncheon-guest purchases at Chopard's 725 Madison Ave. boutique.
