Auction: Important Watches, Tuesday 15 May 2007 - Sotheby's Geneva

In November 2006, the watch sale reached an outstanding CHF10,631,401 ($8,553,387) bringing the total for the year to CHF16,674,402 ($13,539,225), the highest result ever for our watch sales in Geneva. The 2006 top lot was a perpetual calendar chronograph Patek Philippe, 1952, retailed by Asprey, which sold for CHF2,204,000 ($1,773,206) becoming the most expensive wristwatch sold at Sotheby's.
 
The forthcoming auction to be held in May - 13 Quai du Mont-Blanc, 1201 Geneva - will include a large selection of vintage and modern watches made by the most famous watch makers such as this fine and exceptionally rare white gold perpetual calendar Breguet wristwatch with moon-phases and retrograde date, circa 1935 estimated at CHF150,000-250,000 ($120,000-200,000).
