Chopard crafts an outstanding award

For the 4th year running, Chopard crafts the “IMD-Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie Distinguished Family Business Award 2003”.

This prestigious accolade, awarded by the IMD managemen institute during the 14th edition of the FBN (Family Business Network), honours the best pratice displayed in top-flight family businesses.

This year, the laureate is “The Bonnier Group”. This Swedish press group has been in the hands of the same family for the past two centuries.

The Chopard company, owned by the Scheufele family - father, mother, son and daughter - can also trace its history back several generations. This dynasty of jeweller-watchmakers has infused tremendous dynamism into Chopard, placing the company right up among the great names in the luxury business. Chopard currently employs 1.100 dedicated staff operating the 3 production sites and 10 distribution subsidiaries between New York and Singapore. 67 boutiques perfectly reflect the brand philosophy and around 1.000 points of sale reinforce this strong international presence. The Scheufele family continues to build on key values such as tradition and quality, combined with tremendous creativity and flexibility, which are all crucial factors for companies working within the current economic climate.
