Jean-Claude Biver, President of the LVMH Group’s watch division, has admitted that the Swiss watch industry cannot ignore the trend of the smartwatch altogether. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the brand will just copy Apple’s route. For one, the new collaboration between TAG Heuer, Google and Intel will produce an Android Wear timepiece powered by Intel technology. Expect something unique from the group come October 2015, when the new smartwatch will be released.
