With the T360, Code41 unveils its first tourbillon

Offered from CHF 9,898 with a movement entirely designed and assembled in Switzerland, the T360 tourbillon succeeds in combining accessibility with high-level watchmaking expertise. A tour de force that is becoming the trademark of CODE41, with the ongoing involvement of its growing community.

T

he mission of the Swiss community watch brand CODE41 is clear: to make “the art of watchmaking accessible to all”. This mission now includes the Holy Grail of all complications: the tourbillon. The brand founded in 2016 by Claudio D’Amore unveils the T360, its first tourbillon watch, bringing together the best Swiss partners for this extraordinary project.

Since its inception, CODE41 has taken the gamble of involving its strong community at every stage of the creation of its projects, while guaranteeing total transparency on the origin of its components, as well as on the prices of its watch models and accessories. It was therefore logical that the choice to create a tourbillon was initiated by community votes. Each key step was voted on by the hundreds of thousands of community members: the choice of the type of tourbillon, the design of the case and the colours chosen for the final collection.

Proposed with an unprecedented degree of personalization (bridge and hand colours, straps, and even the shape of the case), for CODE41 the T360 tourbillon maps out an even more asserted trajectory towards open, participatory and accessible watchmaking, without compromising on what’s put them on the map.

Before everything else, the T360 tourbillon is a model that pays homage to the exceptional expertise of the craftspeople working behind this project. Attention to detail, consistantly high standards and dedication to the workmanship of each task: the T360 is a reflection of thousands of hours of expertise on the wrist. Optimized for reliability and tested well beyond the required standards, it is conceived and intended to be worn every day, to stand the test of everyday life, just like all of the watch models designed by the brand.

A tourbillon of the highest quality (reliable, elegant and robust) is the very essence of horological refinement. But in the vast majority of cases, it remains inaccessible to the common people. Offered at a price starting at CHF 9,898 with a movement designed and assembled entirely in Switzerland, the T360’s tourbillon makes the perfect marriage of accessibility and peerless Swiss watchmaking expertise. A tour de force that’s becoming CODE41’s trademark.

At first sight, the analysis appears self-evident: the beauty of the T360 and its tourbillon at 6 o’clock is showcased in an entirely skeleton design, typical of Code41’s models. Here you can admire a graceful, captivating horological ballet in which the tourbillon makes a full revolution every 60 seconds in its cage. The T360 propels the tourbillon beyond its usual constraint of being a “watch for special occasions”: it is a watch devised for everyday use, which adapts to any of life’s moments, always in its element.

True to its values of transparency and excellence, CODE41 has given top billing to 100% Swiss partners for the development and production of the tourbillon, without whom none of this would have been possible. All of these craftspeople have played a cornerstone role in their own right in the design of the T360. Presented in no uncertain terms, their roles and responsibilities are highlighted. What’s more, this human adventure is one of the driving forces that motivates the CODE41 teams on a daily basis: highlighting the virtuoso watchmaking partners enabling things to move from dream to reality.

Developed in conjunction with the tourbillon, the new CODE41 case, named the “Stratom”, is making its very first appearance for these pre-orders. This new case with its machined esthetic is a perfect match for the T360, infusing an elegant, sporty and iconic design. A follow-up to the historic case, this new case offers a multi-layer construction with many possible combinations of materials in a technical and industrial style. During these pre-orders, Code41 is also offering the historic case (NativeDNA), which has accompanied all of the brand’s models to date.

A never-before-seen level of personalization offers a customization experience unique to each T360 owner. From multiple dial colours to the choice of case – NativeDNA or Stratom – leather, rubber or steel straps; personalization has never been pushed so far, so that each enthusiast can create a T360 in their own image. Adapting to any situation like a chameleon thanks to its interchangeable straps, the T360 tourbillon reveals its various personalities according to the moods and desires of its owner: classic, sporty, elegant or dynamic. It’s up to each person to decide.

The T360 tourbillon is available for pre-order until 3pm (CET) on May 17. A batch of 150 Creator Edition pieces is offered starting from 9,898 CHF (titanium NativeDNA case with leather strap).
