IWC Schaffhausen has been producing watches at the northernmost tip of Switzerland since 1868 and has been a part of the Richemont Group since 2000, with Georges Kern as its CEO.
The IWC Portuguese is one of the classic IWC watches and is so-called because it was originally produced as far back as 1939 to fulfil a large order from a Portuguese distributor for large wristwatches with pocket watch movements.
IWC covers all watchmaking bases with its signature collections of Portofino, Ingenieur, Da Vinci and Aquatimer as well as pilot’s watches.
