inase is a Japanese watch manufacturer based in Akita Prefecture. Producing less than 500 timepieces a year, the brand’s philosophy is to make unique timepieces that pay tribute to Japanese culture and traditions. Minase watches are equipped with Swiss mechanical movements.
When Minase was founded in 2005, it hired local people and trained them according to the principle of “Monozukuri”: learning by doing. The employees have become experts in the art of craftsmanship. Every day, they produce high-quality watches that embody the values, traditions and craftsmanship typical of Japan.
Divido Shibo Urushi is handcrafted by Japanese artist Junichi Hakose. He mixes urushi lacquer, paint and egg white to decorate the dials. This is the first time this traditional technique has been used on dials.
Four models are available, more information on the Minase website.
