he Anatom has long drawn its identity from the way its curved form follows the wrist. With the Skeleton, Rado shifts attention beneath that familiar outline, exposing the movement while retaining the proportions and material contrasts that define the collection.
The case measures 32.5mm wide, 46.3mm long and 11.5mm thick. A matt plasma high-tech ceramic bezel and crown accompany a brushed steel middle section. Yellow gold-coloured PVD end pieces introduce warmer accents, while a grey rubber strap continues the muted palette. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres.
A cylindrical sapphire crystal, bevelled and treated with an internal anti-reflective coating, frames the openworked display. Its grey metallised border surrounds a white minute track and applied indexes cast from Super-LumiNova. Skeletonised yellow gold-coloured hands carry the same luminous material, maintaining a reading surface above the exposed mechanism.
Inside, the automatic R808 calibre offers 80 hours of power reserve and a Nivachron hairspring. Exceeding standard testing requirements with regulation in five positions instead of three, the movement delivers enhanced accuracy. Anthracite coatings, nickel and ruthenium tones, and contrasting yellow gold-coloured wheels distinguish the components, while horizontal and vertical brushing give the architecture additional definition.
The movement can also be viewed through the sapphire caseback. An extensible folding clasp, finished with a matching matt plasma ceramic cover, secures the strap. The result develops the Anatom’s established interest in form and comfort through a more visible mechanical identity, making its internal construction part of the design itself.
