Watch auction house Antiquorum will put 371 timepieces on the block at a sale slated for Oct. 15-16 in Geneva.
“Important Collector's Wristwatches, Pocket Watches & Clocks” will feature three private collections in the sale, including a collection of timepieces that will be sold without reserve.
Highlights include several Patek Philippe men's wristwatches in pink and yellow gold, valued from $170,000 to $500,000; Rolex Daytona Chronograph men's watches, informally dubbed the “Paul Newman;” and a series of gold and diamond wristwatches dating back as far as the 17th century.
Watches to be included in the sale will be previewed at Antiquorum's Hong Kong showroom on Oct. 7 and 8 and in the auctioneer's Geneva showroom from Oct. 13-15. A complete catalog will be posted online approximately two weeks prior to the Oct. 15 sale at: www.antiquorum.com
