The sale of important watches which took place in London last month realised a total of £ 1,412,451 ($2,828,151) with only 3 pieces which remained unsold.
Alex Barter, Director and Deputy Worldwide Head of Sotheby’s Watches department, said: “We are thrilled with the results of the auction, which saw almost every lot in the sale find a buyer, bar three watches. The results demonstrate the wide appeal of the rare and high quality timepieces included for sale. We witnessed high prices, well over estimate, paid for Modern watches, and both Rolex and Pateks continue to outperform the market.”
