www.worldwatchweb.com- The Marlox Group, based in Biberist (Switzerland), has signed a long-term license agreement with the global luxury fashion brand Givenchy. The company announced the news in the run-up to BASELWORLD 2011, the world watch fair in Basel. The agreement comprises the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Givenchy’s timepieces.
“We are delighted to have completed this new license agreement with the prestigious house of Givenchy. This agreement is an important milestone for our Group and reflects our determination to become one of the leading creators and distributors for internationally renowned brands in the watch and jewelry industry” commented Ronnie Bernheim, CEO of the Marlox Group, which he founded with his brother André Bernheim. Part of the founding shareholders are Adrian Keller, Chairman and shareholder of the Swiss business group DKSH.
The two Bernheim brothers also own and run Mondaine Watch Ltd., which encompasses the Mondaine brand, the M-WATCH and Luminox. Mondaine Watch Ltd. will manufacture all Swiss Made watches on behalf of the Marlox Group, including the new Givenchy collection, in its state-of-the–art factory in Biberist (Switzerland). “In close partnership with the management of Givenchy we aim to grow Givenchy’s market share in the watch business through our extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution and marketing. We are confident that we will be able to bring the Givenchy watch collection to new heights globally”, says Ronnie Bernheim. Marlox will distribute the Givenchy collection through its subsidiaries in Europe, USA and China as well as worldwide through leading distributors.
