Rado and Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography present the second edition of Rado Star Prize Switzerland @ Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography in 2013.

Rado continues the successful partnership with Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography by presenting the second edition of Rado Star Prize Switzerland @ Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography. Not only will the winner have a chance to have an exhibition in Switzerland, they will also receive an artistic work experience placement in China. The selection of the winner will be made by a prestigious panel of jurors comprising high profile names in the field of art and photography.

The Rado Star Prize Switzerland @ Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography 2013 is open to residents of European countries aged 18 years or above. It is a competition that supports innovation and excellence in contemporary photography. The prize for the winner includes: an exhibition at the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography in Switzerland (6th – 29th September 2013), production cost of the winning project up to CHF 10,000, and a one-month artistic work experience placement in China at the end of 2013, including round trip tickets, visa costs and on-site assistance.

Rado Star Prize is part of a global programme aimed at inspiring upcoming artistic talent to release its creativity and access a crucial career springboard. The ultimate aim of the award is to bring successful entrants into contact with key influencers in their respective sectors.

The Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography is the only annual and thematic photography festival in Switzerland. Paying attention to current Swiss creation, it inscribes it in the wider context of international contemporary photography, inviting both Swiss and international photographers. 25 photographers are invited to exhibit in ten different locations. The Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography takes place every year in September.
