Cedrick :Two-Time Facet Award Winner

Cedrick Jihanian of the Los Angeles-based Cedrick Designer Jewelry has won for the second consecutive year one of the top three prizes in Signity's gem-set jewelry design competitions.
Boasting more than two decades' experience as a jewelry designer, Cedrick strives to create fine jewelry that is characterized by “uncompromising quality, originality, and artistry.” His awardwinningpieces are fine examples of his ideals realized.

Known as the Colored Gemstone Design Contest for North America last year (now the Americas regional contest for the World Facet Awards), Cedrick took third place for a flexible 18 k. yellow and rose gold necklace set with apple green peridot, pink rhodolite garnet, golden citrine, and diamonds. Dubbed “The Unification of People,” the piece featured a total of thousand pavÉ round brilliant cut gems ranging in size from 1.5 mm to 3 mm. In this year's regional Facet Awards, Cedrick took second place in the Americas contest for an 18 k. yellow gold and sterling silver cuff bracelet set with dreamy blue sapphires, violet amethyst, ice blue topaz, orange chalcedony, and white and chocolate diamonds. Titled “The Sea of Light”, this piece featured 901 stones in all.

Cedrick, who began his career in Paris studying jewelry making at the renowned École de Rue du Louvres, spent more than ten years perfecting his techniques as a designer for such famous jewelry houses as Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, and Cartier before venturing on his own. Today, he is well known among the celebrated people of Hollywood. His jewelry can be found - on and off screen - adorning such actresses as Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Mena Suvari, Jenna Elfman, Sela Ward, and Lauren Holly.
