Re-launch of Universal Geneve

The hallmark of Universal Geneve, formed in 1894, is its history of technological innovation; these innovations have taken many forms.
None more so than the chronograph where technological advances made by Universal Geneve were so revolutionary they formed the foundation of many of today's chronographs, an area Universal Geneve made its own. The Compax series represents many of Universal Geneve innovations reaching its pinnacle with the Tri Compax, nicknamed “The Glorious” by the industry for its design and innovation.
Today, in a fast moving technology world, Universal Geneve is re-launched. The Company's name, currently Montres Universal SA, is changed to Universal Geneve SA. The brand is being repositioned to attract a younger audience - professional, affluent, male and female 28 to 40 years. Two design houses were commissioned to create new collections to reflect the new consumer target audience.
The venue for the unveiling of the new Universal Geneve will be Basel 2001. The Company will introduce five new collections together with a contemporary brand ID, communication and point of sale support programme.
