A Dumper versus Vacheron Constantin

Geneva, Wednesday 15th November 2000, 5 a.m.: a man steals a Dumper (mechanical digger) parked on a construction site in the center of the city, He then proceeds to drive it, unhindered, to the rue des Moulins, the location of Vacheron Constantin's luxurious shop. Several battering ram blows later, the man snatches watches worth SFr. 100.000, dives into a stolen car parked nearby, and drives away.
The thief, unknown to the police, is still running. Vacheron Constantin confirms that the stolen watches are items from a limited edition “SpÉcial Boutique de Genève”.
