Presenting the latest Patria from Tutima Glashütte

The Patria from Tutima Glashütte combines a deep blue dial and an exquisite manufacture calibre.

B

lue for reliability and gold for the highest quality: the latest Patria from Tutima Glashütte embodies these virtues not only in its noble colour scheme, but also in every finely finished detail of hand-wound Tutima Calibre 617, which is crafted entirely on the manufactory’s premises in Glashütte.

Protected by a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal and an 18-karat rose gold case, the golden hands and indices contrast harmoniously against the dial’s blue background. The sur¬faces of the in-house manufactured 18-karat gold hands are polished by hand; the bevel is meticulously ground and given a matte finish. A subdial at the “6” shows the continually passing seconds, while a blue alligator leather strap with a gold pin buckle continues the blue-and-gold colour scheme beyond the luxurious case.

The heart of the Patria is undoubtedly its masterfully crafted Tutima Calibre 617 manufacture movement. This calibre’s traditional origins are revealed at first glance through the sapphire crystal in the back of the case, where connoisseurs will instantly recognize the characteristic Glashütte three-quarter plate with three ruby bearings set in screwed gold chatons. Also typical of Glashütte watchmaking is the sun¬burst finish that adorns the Patria’s winding wheels, which have a special ratchet with steel springs polished by hand on a tin plate. In keeping with Tutima’s tradition, the heads of all screws are polished and not blued. The balance oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour and is fitted with a Breguet hairspring, the end curve of which is manually bent in our workshops according to special calculations.
