BA111OD celebrates five years with an original trilogy

To mark its fifth anniversary, the Swiss brand unveils a limited-edition trilogy of timepieces. This series combines artistic mastery with technical excellence, featuring miniature acrylic paintings and a tourbillon complication, and highlights the authenticity and innovation that define the brand.

S

ince its inception, BA111OD has stood out for its daring spirit, its pursuit of authenticity, and its deep connection to Neuchâtel, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking. The research conducted by Neuchâtelois Thomas Baillod, the brand’s founder, uncovered a lineage of watchmakers in his family dating back to 1775 - a heritage that further deepens his bond with this tradition-rich region.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, BA111OD unveils a limited-edition trilogy in three acts. Designed by senior designer Liliane Murenzi and powered by a tourbillon crafted in La Chaux-de-Fonds by watchmaker Olivier Mory, this series of timepieces is rooted in the grand tradition of contemporary haute horlogerie while embodying the brand’s commitment to offering exceptional and accessible pieces.

Featuring a 44mm titanium case and a manual winding mechanical movement with a 100-hour power reserve, these watches are distinguished by their exceptional dials. Each model showcases one of three iconic views of the canton of Neuchâtel, sketched by artist Célestine Sahli and reproduced in miniature acrylic painting by the artisans at Atelier Blandenier. This true métier d’art, requiring precision and meticulousness, lends each piece an incomparable uniqueness.

First Act: AUTHENTICITY
Act 1 of BA111OD, dedicated to Neuchâtel and symbolised on the dial by a miniature depicting the iconic contours of the city, perfectly embodies the authenticity at the heart of the brand’s identity. By drawing from the history and heritage of this city, BA111OD celebrates profound values of tradition and precision while remaining true to its innovative spirit, creating timepieces that blend heritage and daring.

Second Act: DARING
The second chapter celebrates the Neuchâtel mountains, immortalised by the majestic Creux du Van, depicted in miniature on the dial. OKen referred to as the “Swiss Grand Canyon,” the Creux du Van is a spectacular natural amphitheater located in the canton of Neuchâtel. With its towering cliffs and nature reserve housing unique wildlife and flora, it embodies the untamed power of nature. A symbol of freedom and escape, this iconic location inspires the daring spirit at the heart of BA111OD’s creations.

Third Act: EXPERTISE
The final act pays tribute to the watchmaking hubs of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds, highlighted on the dial through a miniature of La Chaux-de-Fonds. As the historical cradle of Swiss watchmaking and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Chaux-de-Fonds epitomizes excep;onal watchmaking expertise. This legacy directly inspires BA111OD in designing its timepieces, constantly pushing the boundaries of excellence.
