ongines’ Conquest Heritage line is adding new 38 mm and 40 mm designs that honour the pioneering spirit of this historic collection. These newcomers continue the legacy of sporty elegance that has defined Conquest since becoming Longines’ first collection to be trademarked over 70 years ago, while embracing contemporary style and modern horological technology. The designs also bear the distinctive 18K gold, hand-enamelled medallion that has been the signature of the collection from the start.
Longines’ first collection to be trademarked – in 1954 with the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property – Conquest marked a pivotal moment for Longines as organising models by collection increased product identification and visibility. The Conquest Heritage models maintain the distinctive design elements that made the original Conquest a great success, while incorporating modern technical innovations that enhance their performance and durability.
Each of the new models features a domed sunray dial available in a range of sophisticated colours: blue paired with faceted applied rhodium-plated indexes, green, brown, black with faceted applied rose-gold-coloured indexes, or silver with faceted applied yellow-gold coloured indexes. The hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated, rose-gold- or yellow-gold-coloured to match the indexes, and are treated with Super-LumiNova for optimal readability in any lighting condition.
The Conquest Heritage collection’s connection to its roots is perhaps most elegantly expressed in the case back, where an 18K yellow-gold medallion featuring an engraved and hand-enamelled fish motif serves as the signature of the collection. This element pays homage to the original Conquest watches from the 1950s, which featured similar medallions – a fish for steel models and a constellation for gold models – as a distinctive mark and quality guarantee symbolising both water-resistance and the spirit of adventure that defined the collection.
Each Conquest Heritage timepiece is animated by the exclusive Longines calibre L888.5, a self-winding mechanical movement featuring a silicon balance spring and innovative non-magnetic components. This advanced engineering provides up to 10 times greater resistance to magnetic fields than the ISO 764 standard, combining everyday practicality with exceptional performance.
The new models also offer a power reserve of up to 72 hours and water resistance to 5 bar (50 meters). A choice of stainless-steel bracelet with micro-adjustable double-folding safety clasp or a black or brown leather strap with Heritage steel pin buckle completes each watch, ensuring versatility and comfort for every wearer.
With its carefully proportioned 38 mm and 40 mm cases, the expanded Conquest Heritage collection offers genuine unisex appeal, allowing everyone to find their perfect expression of refined elegance regardless of wrist size or style preference. The collection’s balanced design, a perfect fusion of heritage charm and contemporary refinement, honours Longines’ enduring philosophy that elegance truly is an attitude.
