The new rose gold-coloured and green Ocean Star 200C is reminiscent of a break on the shores of a mountain lake, where the verdant hills are reflected in the water, turned gold by the rays of the setting sun. Inspired by nature and designed for the deep, this edition combines sportiness with elegance. Created in 1944, the Ocean Star draws on the legendary expertise of Mido, a pioneer in water resistance since 1930 with the Aquadura system. In the 1980s, the brand was even dubbed the “King of Waterproof Watches”. This performance is symbolised by a star engraved on the back of the Ocean Star models. In this version with its magnificent contrasting hues, the Ocean Star perpetuates this spirit of endurance in style, combining high-tech materials with cutting-edge watchmaking innovations. Characteristic of watches dedicated to the deep, the unidirectional rotating bezel features a green ceramic ring, graduated for diving, with a luminous dot of Super-LumiNova® at noon. In the background, the collection’s marine DNA is highlighted with a matt green dial featuring a pattern of ripples. The applied indexes, topped with white Super-LumiNova®, ensure perfect readability even in the dark. Its 42.5-mm case in rose gold-coloured PVD-treated stainless steel is well-balanced and harmoniously proportioned, combining satin-finished and polished surfaces. The collection’s iconic starfish is engraved in relief on the back, in a polished finish. This sporty-chic timepiece offers exceptional water resistance up to 20 bar (200 metres), thanks to a screw-down caseback and screw-down crown, also finished with a rose gold-coloured PVD treatment.
