Harry Winston Announces New Executive Appointments to Grow International Business

Harry Winston Inc., one of the world’s leading diamond jewellers and watch makers, announces two management appointments to further strengthen the company’s position as a key player in the high-end jewelry and watch businesses. “These appointments reflect Harry Winston’s commitment to playing a major role in both diamond jewelry and watch making,” stated Mr. James C. Seuss, President of Harry Winston. “We are very pleased to have attracted such significant talent to the company.”

Mr. HAMDI CHATTI has been appointed Managing Director of Harry Winston Rare Timepieces in Geneva, Switzerland, responsible for the operations of the Watchmaking Division as of October 15, 2005.
Mr. Chatti joins Harry Winston from the Richemont Group, where he was the Managing Director of Mont Blanc Timepieces. Mr. Chatti successfully implemented the integration of the design and technical departments including product development, production, supply chain management, quality control and after-sales service, and introduced a comprehensive new product portfolio. Prior to Mont Blanc, Mr. Chatti was Technical & Quality Director for Piaget. His education includes a degree in engineering, a Masters in horology (with specialization in complicated watches) from the University of Neuchâtel and a degree in marketing and management from ESSEC in Paris.

In another significant appointment, Mr. GILLES HAUMONT has been named Managing Director of International Sales. He will be in charge of retail and wholesale sales for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, excluding Japan. Mr. Haumont will be based in Geneva.
Before joining Harry Winston, Mr. Haumont was with the Gucci Group as Worldwide Commercial Director for Boucheron. He was previously the International Retail Director for Cartier. Prior to that, Mr. Haumont was Managing Director for the Richemont Group in the Pacific Area. Mr. Haumont’s education includes an MBA in marketing and finance from ESSEC in Paris.
