Corum appoint General Manager

March 2007

The Montres Corum company, headed by Mr Severin Wunderman (Owner) and Mr Michael Wunderman (President), has appointed Mr Antonio Calce General Manager.

Recruited to the company on 1 September 2005 as Vice-President of Operations, Mr Antonio Calce has concentrated since his arrival on refocusing the brand through vigorous development and a sophisticated upgrading of Corum’s “key” models. He has also put in place a more effective internal structure at production level with the recruitment of four new heads of department to provide effective support for a high-end watchmaking activity.

Mr Antonio Calce was born in 1967 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. His training and track record have brought him an all-round experience of the whole range of operations involved in the watch industry, from creation to after-sales service support, via development, product engineering, production and sales.
After qualifying as a graduate engineer at a Higher Technical School and obtaining a business management diploma from a University Management Institute, Mr Calce joined the Richemont Group in 1994, where he was technology, methods, logistics and product manager.
He went on to develop the Panerai product range after the acquisition of that brand by Richemont in 1997 and became Development Director of the Panerai and Piaget brands in 2000; he also set up the Panerai manufacture before finally joining Montres Corum in the autumn of 2005.
