Frederique Constant Genève announces a sales growth of 52% for the first six months of the year 2007 in comparison to last year.

“We have seen a significant increase in activity across most of our regions in the first half of 2007. North America returned to sales growth. Strong growth continues in Western Europe, Russia, and Asia. In view of our intensive programmes of promotional activities and new product launches, sales growth should continue to accelerate for rest of the year”, says Peter Stas.



Over the past 10 years Frèdèrique Constant has had a growth rate of 25-30% per year, increasing its annual production of Swiss Made timepieces to 60,000 pieces in 2006. According to owners and founders of Frederique Constant, Peter and Aletta Stas the succes of the brand lies in the passion for watches and the development of the brand. “Over the years we have introduced a great variety of exquisite watches such as the Manufacture, Retrograde and Day-Date models, all featuring Frederique Constant’s renowned feature, the Heart Beat Aperture. In 2004 we celebrated the World Premier of the Heart Beat Manufacture Caliber. The caliber was designed and developed in house and is assembled in our workshop in Geneva. It is a 100% Swiss Made Watch. After its launch, the Frederique Constant Heart Beat Manufacture became an instant succes. Its successor, the Heart Beat Manufacture Moonphase-Date Automatic was introduced during Baselworld 2007 and enjoys a high interest today. We are currently developing additional versions of the Manufacture Caliber. We are very pleased to continue our growth in this manner and are looking forward to future developments”, says Peter Stas. “

To meet continuously increasing demand for its watches, Frederique Constant moved, in 2005, to its new headquarters in Plan-Les-Ouates, Genève. The new Frederique Constant manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates measures 3,200 square meters, divided over four floors, offering an attractive working environment for around 70 employees in the sectors of movement component production, calibre assembly, watch assembly, and extensive quality control. Numerically-controlled machines of the latest generation are located in a large atelier in the basement, where all component manufacturing is concentrated. Calibre and watch assembly, as well as state-of-the-art quality control is primarily organized on the first floor of the new Frederique Constant building. The building is also the brand's international headquarters.

While Frederique Constant is heavily investing in this new Manufacture, the company will remain 100% committed to continue the successful strategy of offering Swiss Made watches with passion at sensible prices.
