Looking back at more than 100 years of ladies’ watchmaking, with vintage timepieces and advertising on display, the exhibition displays OMEGA’s proud commitment to women over the years.

For over a century, Omega has showcased its commitment to making stunning women’s watches that, according to the brand, are as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. So there is no better place to mark the occasion than in Milan, Italy, a city that sets the bar for us in terms of outer beauty thanks to its fashion industry.

Of course, no great event can take place without its guest of honour. In this case, its Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, who also happened to be marking her 10th anniversary with the Swiss brand. Together, they awed the crowd during a special celebration of women, capped by Omega’s “Her Time” exhibition.

The celebrations began with a special event which featured the Oscar-winning Kidman herself as well as many of Italy’s finest on-screen talents, including actress Vittoria Puccini, and actors Claudio Santamaria and Luca Calvani.

The Australian-born actress also offered her own thoughts about Omega and its relationship with time:

“In everything I’ve done with Omega, they have shown extraordinary integrity, and that’s important in this day and age. Their watches are the same, and I’ve learned so much about the technology and history. They’ve adapted and evolved with the times. As you can see tonight, it’s truly unbelievable.”

That opening event was just the warm-up. Also taking place in Milan is Omega’s “Her Time” exhibition, dedicated to the brand’s history of ladies watchmaking. It shows the watchmaker’s journey with women, as a synchronised story of time and fashion. Bringing its heritage to life, “Her Time” proudly displays many iconic Omega timepieces across the decades, from early Lèpine pendants to the revolutionary Ladymatic that is still a timepiece of incredible beauty and innovation.

Stephen Urquhart, President of Omega, also gave his (somewhat modest) thoughts about the exhibition.

“I say this in all modesty. There’s not one other brand that could present such a unique collection of ladies’ watches as Omega. So I’m very proud, and especially to have Nicole here as spokesperson for our ladies’ collection and to open our exhibition.”

The “Her Time” exhibition is now open to the public and is certainly not to be missed if you find yourself in Milan.
