Christie's hits Hong Kong for watch, jewelry auctions

Christie's will hold its “Important Watches” auction on May 31 and its “Magnificent Jewellery and Jadeite” auction on June 1 in Hong Kong. Both sales will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The watch sale will offer a selection of rare timepieces from the 19th century to modern day, including enameled pocket watches and complicated wrist watches, according to a Christie's release. The auction will present 100 Rolex watches dating from 1920 to the present. Two private collections for sale include pieces from Patek Phillippe, Breguet, Audemars Piguet and Vacheron Constantin.
