Action Innocence auction of watches breaks the Million mark

The Action Innocence Association, which fights against child sexual abuse on Internet, held a Gala evening on June 21, 2004 and highlighted the event with the auction of 10 watches created especially for the Association by Audemars Piguet, Bell & Ross, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, de Grisogono, Roger Dubuis, F.P. Journe, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin.
In the presence of many renowned personalities such as Petula Clark, Amanda Lear and the Prince and Princess of Venice Emmanuel Philibert and Clotilde, along with local dignitaries and politicians, the auction of the timepieces was conducted by the President of Christie’s Europe, François Curiel, resulting in a superb total of more than a million and quarter Swiss francs.
Sting, who was present, also entertained the more than 900 people attending the Gala.
